Lexus has introduced a limited-run special appearance bundle for the 2027 Lexus IS to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the IS. The outcome is a limited-edition IS 350 F Sport that boasts a new, enviable shade of green paint, black BBS wheels, and a variety of other minor modifications.
Once the four-city IS 25th Legacy Tour concluded in Miami, the package was disclosed to the public. Lexus will restrict production to 350 units for the North American market. Although pricing and complete specifications are being withheld until closer to the launch, Lexus has announced that these will be available at dealerships later this year.
The 2027 IS Special Appearance Package offers more than just esthetic appeal. It is based on the IS 350 F Sport and features exclusive interior and exterior features, as well as upgraded chassis and driver-assistance hardware.
The new Envious green hue is the most noticeable feature, and it is contrasted by 19-inch forged alloy BBS wheels in black. They imbue the F Sport bodywork with a more aggressive demeanor. Upon entering, the sport seats are adorned with black NuLuxe, Ultrasuede, and contrasting green embroidery. Satin chrome trim is also present to create an upscale atmosphere; however, the compartment remains consistent with the IS 350 F Sport’s driver-centric design.
Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V-6 engine from the rest of the IS range, which is naturally aspirated, generates 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Buyers have the option of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The former is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the latter is paired with a six-speed.
The car has also been equipped with Lexus’s Handling Package. This entails Adaptive Variable Suspension that has been tailored for sport, as well as Drive Mode Select, which offers a range of options from ECO to Sport S+. A Torsen limited-slip differential is included in the rear-drive variant.
Then there is the issue of technology. The package includes a Technology Package, which includes standard features such as a Mark Levinson audio system, a moonroof, and Intuitive Parking Assist. The list of driver aids is comprehensive, including a Panoramic View Monitor, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change and Front Cross-Traffic alerts. In terms of availability, the 350 vehicles that have been allocated for North America are anticipated to arrive in the coming months. The price of the special edition has not yet been disclosed by Lexus; however, it is anticipated that such information will be disclosed prior to the sedan’s release.
